COM 300: Gender and Communication

A companion guide for researchers taking COM 300: Gender and Communication at Bluffton University

Use the library catalog to find book sources

Use the library's catalog to search for books and book-length resources on your chosen topic.  These books may be available on library shelves in a format you can hold in your hands, or they may be e-book resources which you can read and/or search inside from a web browser on your laptop, computer, or mobile device

KEYWORD searches are great for identifying sources on a general topic.

Library books will have a Location, Call Number, and Status.  If the status is AVAILABLE, the book should be on the shelf at the call number provided.  Library staff can help you locate books in the library.

E-books will display a "View Online" link, which you can follow in order to read the book on your screen or device.

For a reminder of how to search the library catalog, view the tutorial video below.
