RefWorks Overview

RefWorks is software that permits users to create a personal database of references from your own research, for example, search results in online databases or catalogs, or from materials that you have in hard copy, or citations that you run across in a bibliography.

These references can be used in writing papers. In-text citations and bibliographies can be quickly formatted in a citation style of your choosing (e.g. MLA or APA).

References can be organized into folders according to your topics of interest, or for particular assignments and projects.

References can be added from a variety of locations: research databases (e.g. Academic Search Complete); Google Scholar; the Bluffton and OhioLINK catalogs. You can also input new references manually.

RefWorks is available to Bluffton students, faculty and staff.
